Clients - Arup
Arup the independent firm of designers, planners, engineers, consultants and technical specialists, are participating in Romonet’s software platform beta programme. Romonet’s software platform breaks new ground by applying computer modelling and simulation capabilities across data centre and ICT infrastructure to enable improved understanding, predictive analysis and allocation of cost, energy and capacity.
Andrew Harrison, Director of Arup, said: “Romonet’s work in an entirely new category of software modelled business analytics for the data centre and IT industry marks a significant step forward in data centre design. Our firm has a history of embracing innovation to help our clients get the best results – financially and environmentally. Through this work, we hope to be able to optimise the data centre strategies of those we work with and their operations, through better informed decision making”.
Arup will trial the powerful capabilities of Romonet’s platform with existing clients to enhance the business analytics delivered with their data centre and ICT design consultancy. “Our collaboration with Romonet will allow us continue helping our clients to balance cost, efficiency and risk in their data centre decision-making”, added Harrison.
Rapid growth in demand combined with increased complexity has made it essential for decision-makers to gain greater insight into cost and efficiency when designing, building and operating this critical infrastructure.
Romonet is the first organisation to develop, trial and market a commercial data centre cost and energy simulator. “Having initially invented the simulation technology, we were ideally positioned to build on the core components, developing a suite of tools to assist organisations understand, optimise and allocate cost and energy use within their data centre and ICT services”, commented Zahl Limbuwala, Romonet CEO.
By working with Arup and other forward-thinking organisations within our beta programme, Romonet will be able to accelerate our vision of delivering cost transparency and accountability in the delivery of ICT services”, added Zahl Limbuwala.
