Services

Romonet's Consultancy and Advisory services draw upon our extensive research and policy engagement around metrics, energy efficiency and best practice, and data centre simulation.

The steadfast objective for these services is to provide practical advice on implementing best practice for business benefit, and reliable analysis and quantifiable data to support informed decisions around energy optimisation.

These services include:

Consultancy Services

  • EU Code of Conduct for Data Centres Assessment - the programme has been developed to assist clients in obtaining 'Participant' status under the code, leading or supporting the relevant cross-domain stakeholders to accelerate submission to the code and establishing a framework for continuous improvement of data centre energy efficiency. (Listen to the latest news on the code here)
  •

  • Data Centre Infrastructure Efficiency (DCiE) Performance Assessment (Baseline Modelling) - leveraging our data centre simulation software and consulting expertise, Romonet will assess your existing or pre-built data centre and deliver graphical (3D) and xml output of expected energy efficiency against rated IT load and external climate.
  •

  • Data Centre Infrastructure Efficiency (DCiE) Performance Modeling and Evaluation (Impact Analysis/Change Analysis) - as an extension to the DCiE Performance Assessment, Romonet will provide bespoke analysis against considered simple or complex infrastructure change/investment and deliver performance and financial outputs to aid effective decision making.
  •

  • Data Centre Optimisation Workshop (Energy Efficiency) - typically involves leading and/or coordinating exploration and/or evaluation workshops on energy efficiency initiatives across the data centre. This will ideally include a cross section of facilities, IT operations and IT finance functions (and specialist external resource, e.g. CFD or M&E consultants) to drive swift identification of practical optimisation alternatives (feasible, cost-justified options with acceptable risk).
  •

  • Data Centre Energy Metrics (Practical Approaches to Implementation) - provision of expert level consultancy for Enterprise, Public and Service Provider operators of data centres on the range of minimum and advanced approaches to energy metering within the data centre to meet a set of pre-established goals/criteria (e.g. EU CoC Metrics, advanced efficiency analysis, etc..)
  •

  • Vendor Technology Evaluation Services (Energy Efficiency) - targeting emerging data centre infrastructure technology vendors, this service provides vendor-independent energy efficiency benchmarking and validation/identification of technology value proposition(s).
