Romonet CEO Zahl Limbuwala spent last year on a mission to inform and enlighten US colleagues about European initiatives to regulate and legislate carbon emissions from the secondary emitters of carbon.
These secondary emitters include data centre owners and operators using more than 6,000MWh (~600kWh average power draw) of energy per year through half-hourly meters.
Zahl also informed the audiences at a number of DataCenterDynamics events about the EU and BCS's progress on pushing the EU Code of Conduct for data centres as a voluntary measure to try and curb increasing energy consumption in data centres without attention being paid to how efficiently the energy was being used.
Zahl finished the tour with an interview with Mission Critical Magazine and later published an article about the topics including his own work at Romonet on the data centre simulation technology.
