Romonet Engineer is a client based software application that enables experienced engineers to create the base logical topology for use in all the Romonet software products. The package includes a drag-and-drop editor allowing the user to rapidly create a logical representation of a data center.

Romonet models are able to represent any type of system within the data center environment. Mechanical, electrical, control, IT systems and application workloads can be represented within a model. Romonet engineer produces a self-contained Romonet Layout file of the format (my-logical-layout.rdcl) which can then be read and populated by one of the Romonet analysis products, Romonet Energy, Romonet Economics or Romonet Enterprise.

Romonet Energy is a client based software application that is used to populate a Romonet data center layout file (my-logical-layout.rdcl), creating a Romonet data center model (my-data-center.rdcm) file and then carry out 'what if' analysis and forecast simulations.

Romonet Energy has been designed for data center operators, mission critical consultants and other users that need to gain a greater understanding of how a data center perform from an energy perspective. Romonet Energy enables rapid 'what if' analysis against different data centers or data center designs. With over four hundred different outputs, analysis of performance in different climate conditions, different load fill-out scenarios and using different control strategies are just a few of the capabilities of this powerful simulation analysis product.

Romonet Energy is used by the world's leading mission critical designers today to optimise the data center while in the design phase showing their clients energy and PUE performance under both full and all partial load conditions using the full set of built-in ASHRAE worldwide TMY (Typical Meteorological Year) climate data.

Romonet Economics is a client based software application that is used by data center operators to carry out detailed financial forecasting and analysis. Romonet Economics uses a Romonet model file (my-data-center.rdcm) to allow users to add operational and capital costs to data center models.

Romonet Economics can then be used to carry out ROI (Return on Investment) and TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis with the full breakdown of fixed, variable and overhead costs. Romonet Economics can be used to run multiple differing investment scenarios allowing an operator to determine the best possible course of action with regards to operational and capital investment.

Because the financials of the data center are built on top of the engineering model built in Romonet Energy, engineering and finance become linked and changes to either show the impact on the other.

Romonet Enterprise is our flagship client based software product. Romonet Enterprise builds on energy and economics models but allows the inclusion of IT devices and workloads into a model. This allows the user to understand the full and total cost of delivering IT applications with the correct allocation of all fixed, variable and overhead costs all the way through the supply chain (mechanical, electrical, IT and energy) to each application.

Romonet Enterprise is used by enterprise data center operators that operate their own IT and applications either for themselves or others (outsourcing) and is extremely powerful with over 1000 different output analysis options to answer almost any business operations or business finance related question.
